I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature at Cornell University, where my work deals broadly with literature, media, histories of technology, and political economy.

While research and teaching take up the majority of my time, I’m most at home when making music. From 2005 to 2009, I played drums in the metal band Destroy The Runner. We released two albums (2005, 2008) under contract with a subsidary of EMI, then later self-released an EP (2016). Since 2009, I’ve also played in a postrock group called Other Mountains, self-releasing two LPs (2010, 2014) and one EP (2015). You can listen to selections from most of those records here.

I also do my best to write creatively when possible, some of which you’ll find here.
